WEIDENFELLER Herbert William Weidenfeller age 83 of Grand Rapids Michigan passed away April 14 2011 and went to be with his Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Bertha Weidenfeller. Herbert is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years Virginia; his sister and brother-in-law Hertha and Tom Hill of Spring Lake. Herbert is also survived by his son William (Mary Jo); daughters Mary Scott and Leah Ann Weidenfeller; four grandsons and one granddaughter; three step-sons Phillip Burke (Suzanne), David Burke and Jethro Burke; nine step-grandchildren; one great step-grandchild; many nieces nephews cousins and dear friends. Herb was a life-long resident of Grand Rapids. He was a past member of Park Congregational Church where he had served as the leader of the Mission Board. He was the owner and President of Leitelt Iron Works and after his retirement he enjoyed many vacations and cruises. During the winter he would reside in sunny Destin Florida. He loved golfing working in his flower garden and attending Civic and Circle theatres. He also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds at their feeder. Cremation has taken place. A private service and burial will take place at a later date.
