Howard (Lou) Dubay, aged 85 of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully with his children by his side on Sunday, April 21, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marge; his parents, Howard Sr. and Versa Dubay; his parents-in-law, Manley and Margaret Tuller; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Leo and Mary Jane Chapman. He is survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Michael (Kathy) Dubay, Deborah (Carl) Potter, Mary Sue (Edwin) House, David (Katherine) Dubay, Nancy Dubay (Linda Lucchesi), Joseph Dubay; brother, George and Janet Dubay; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Joyce (Richard) Majewski, Fr. John P. Tuller; grandchildren, Mary (Francis) Granados, Amy (Elvis Sarak) Dubay, Scott (Gladys Brisola) Potter, Rick (Shayna) Potter, Wesley (Jessi) Duncan, Brian (Kelly) Duncan, Christine Duncan, Hailey Dubay, Riley Dubay, Brian (Allison) Kuchta, Anne-Marie (Jason) Mankey, Tim (Christy) Kuchta, Mary (Nick) Griffon, Mike Kuchta, Tina Hart; great-grandchildren, Morgan Potter, Cliona, Liam, Evelinn Duncan, Irene, Mona, Penny and Claudia Granados; many nephews and nieces; special friend and travelling companion, Jim Russell. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 24 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with a rosary at 7:30 PM at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE and Thursday one hour prior to the service at church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 25 at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen Church, 750 Gladstone SE, Rev. Tom Brown and Rev. Mark Przybysz, presiding. Memorial contributions in Lou’s name may be made to St. Ann’s Home, the Knights of Columbus ,the Boy Scouts of America or St. Stephen Church.
