BLOUGH – Ivan K Blough age 78 of Lowell passed unexpectedly on June 26 2010 doing what he loved volunteering for his community. He was born and raised in the Alto/Bowne Center area to parents Ira and Laura Blough. After marrying his high school sweetheart Carolyn Jane (Barber), they moved to Lowell. His life-long philosophy was God Family and Fellowship. Ivan was very active in many organizations: Boy Scouts First United Methodist Church of Lowell Lowell Area Schools Lowell Area Historical Museum and the Lowell Showboat were among his most passionate community activities. If he wasnt volunteering in the community he could always be found at the ball field. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Jane Blough married 58 years; children Michael (Toni) Blough Lucinda Winzenried and Robert MacIntyre Mark (Janice) Blough Melinda (Lou) DAgostino; nine grandchildren Nicholas Blough Katherine Blough Zachary Winzenried Jacob Blough Neal Blough Lucas Blough Rene? Blough Sophia DAgostino Matthew DAgostino; brothers-in-law James (Barbara) Barber William (Ardis) Barber; many nieces nephews and cousins; extended family Daniel Winzenried Doris Rhines Christine Fonnesbeck and six exchange students. Services will be July 1 at the Lowell Performing Arts Center 11700 Vergennes Lowell Rev. Rick Blunt and Rev. Dean Bailey officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-7:30 PM with a 7:30 PM Masonic Service Under the Auspices of Belding-Ionia Lodge #355 Free and Accepted Masons at the Roth-Gerst Chapel 305 N. Hudson Lowell. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to either Lowell Area Historical Museum 325 W. Main St., Lowell MI or First United Methodist Church of Lowell 621 E. Main St., Lowell MI.
