James Henry Michael Wykes, age 66 of Newaygo formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Helen and Jack Wykes of Grand Rapids. He is survived by his son, James M. Wykes of Muskegon; daughter Alison (Bryan) Tickfer-Wolfe of Lowell; granddaughter Trystin Wolfe of Lowell; expecting a new grandchild in June; and good friend Karen Nichols Parker of Newaygo. He was a graduate of Central High School in Grand Rapids and a long time member of St Andrews Church. Jim worked as a bartender at DJ’s, Vestal Inn, and Snickers, and worked as a warehouse manager at I.B.W. Funeral service will be held Monday 1:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Jamie Brunk officiating.
