James L. Clark Jr., age 74 of Lowell, MI passed away Monday, Dec 14 at his home. He previously resided in Pekin, IL, Silver Creek, GA, Ravenna, OH, and South Beloit, IL and is originally from Smyrna, GA. James was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie; parents, James L. Clark Sr., and Billie White; and sister, Peggy. He is survived by his daughter, Lori (Brent) Ashcroft; and two grandchildren, Sydney, and Brady Ashcroft. James also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Tux and Baloo. He had a long career first as a Maintenance Manager and then as Plant Engineer at Sonoco Products, Smurfit-Stone Container Corp, and Graphic Packaging International. He was a former Staff Sergeant / Strike Command in the U.S. Air Force (1966-1970). James enjoyed his dogs, his Corvette, coin collecting, Georgia football games and NASCAR races. The immediate family will hold private services at a later date. Interment will be held at South Beloit, IL.

    He will be missed and thought of often. It’s hard to wrap my mind the fact that he is no longer with us. Thank you for the joy you brought to my life. I have a lot of fond memories. All our trips to the mountains, trips to the beach and all the nascar races we attended. So thankful for the three months I came and spent with you and your family. These are memories I will forever cherish.
