James “Jim” Phelps Van Oosten, age 73 of Lowell, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, sister Joyce and her husband Jack Van Blooys. He is survived by his wife Sue of 52 years; daughter Sue (Bruce) Doll; sons Jim (Heather) Van Oosten, Bill (fiancée Ann Oglivy) Van Oosten; grandchildren Nicole Loetz, Cody & Scott Van Oosten, Justin Everitt, Ken, Jordan & Kayala Van Oosten; sister Ruthann (Jack) Snyder; brothers and sisters-in-law Tom (BJ) Bustance, Bill (Robin) Bustance; friends Frank & Mary Kay Wright; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Friday 11:00 a.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell MI 49331. Reverend Jill Forton officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
