Jeff “Oz” graduated from Fremont High School and Brown University. Jeff was a journalist at Newaygo Sun, then moved into Public Relations at both Gerber & Guardsman. “Oz” enjoyed reading, golfing, conversations, sailing, relaxing, and entertaining squirrels. He was a good soul who was intelligent, interesting, and down-to-earth. He enjoyed getting to know all kinds of people, learning what makes them tick, allowing them to be themselves while also challenging them to think differently and see things from another point-of-view. He loved his family, especially the little children, because he found it fascinating how they explore, learn, and grow. He gave big hugs to his grandchildren and to everyone he loved. “Oz” lived a life full of exploration of mind, body, and soul, experiencing a little bit of everything and contemplating the results. He is everywhere now, in the sky, the breeze and the beautiful landscapes, hoping that we too experience life, music, love and the pursuit of human freedom while we still have the chance. Vaya Con Dios, Jeffé.
A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
