STEVENS Jerald C. Stevens of Ada went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 11 2011 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids of accidental injuries. He passed away at 81 years of age surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Leroy and Anna Stevens born in Grand Rapids on March 29 1930. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Forrest Robert Loren and James Stevens. Jerald is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Alta Stevens and four children: daughter Pamela (Jack) Tuinstra; son Bob (Anne) Stevens; son Wayne (Marcia) Stevens; and son David (Terri) Stevens. He is also survived by sister-in-law Patricia Kacos and eleven grandchildren: Jason Audra Brooke Courtney Danielle Emily Carrie Anna and Samantha Stevens and Kyle and Kristi Tuinstra. Jerald served his country in the Korean War and was stationed in France. He was a Grand Rapids firefighter and later worked as a truck driver for many years. He is remembered as a man of God whose strong faith guided his family throughout the years. Along with his wife he was an active member of Alaska Baptist Church. A visitation will be held at O’Brien-Gerst Funeral Home 3980 Cascade Rd on November 15 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A service will be held at on November 16 at Alaska Baptist Church 7240 68th Street SE in Caledonia. Memorial donations can be made to Missions at Alaska Baptist Church.
