Jerry Michael Ellinger, age 64 of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Arnold. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Julia; children Phillip (Natalie) Hallinger, Steven (Jessica) Ellinger; mother Helen Ellinger; brothers James, Edward (Pamela), Douglas (Cindy); brother-in-law Randolph (Cathy) Wright; sister-in-law Marsha (Rick Griewski) Wright. Jerry’s highest priority in life was his family, he absolutely adored Julia, and together they devoted their lives to their beloved sons. He was deeply connected to his brothers and a special circle of close friends; to which he was always loyal. He enjoyed his 70’s rock-n-roll, working in the yard, boating, and traveling. Jerry was easy going, had a fun spirited way, and was always the life of the party. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 7, 11:00 a.m. at Cascade Christian Church, 2829 Thornapple River Dr. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Jill Forton officiating. The family will meet with friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the church.
