ADASTIK John Adastik age 93 was called home to Glory by his Lord and Savior November 5 2011. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Shirley Adastik family members Alex and Helen Adastik; Walter and Maria Adastik; George Adastik and sister-in-law Marilyn J. Smith. He is survived by daughter Alice Adastik (a.k.a. Allison Jahm); sister Claire (Clifford) Quandt; sister-in-law Edna Adastik and several nieces and nephews. John graduated from Davis Tech and in WW II he served with honor in the Navys special SeaBees Unit. He was a lifelong employee of Rapistan (Dematic Corp.) and a Graduate of Grand Valley State University. He was an avid reader Russian history enthusiast storyteller Christian missions supporter senior Bible study member nature advocate Big Ten fan and devoted friend to many along his Lifes path. Funeral services will be held November 11 2011 at at Calvary Church (in Chapel), 707 Beltline NE with the Rev. Thomas Olsson officiating. Private Interment at Fairplains Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Bible Society Christian Rest Home or a charity of ones choice.
