KENNEDY John C. Kennedy age 80 of Stuart FL passed away on March 22 2011. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Madelyn; his children Patricia (William) Kerr Kathleen (Gary) Montmorency John (Nancy) Kennedy Mark (Ann) Kennedy Brian (Kim) Kennedy and Grace (Thomas) Kneeshaw 26 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. John retired in 1996 as Vice President of National Bank of Detroit now known as Chase Bank. He was very active in his community serving on the Grosse Pointe Woods planning commission for 30 years. John also loved teaching at the University of Detroit Business School. Later he and his wife volunteered at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart FL for over 5 years. The family will meet with friends and relatives at the O’Brien Eggebeen-Gerst Funeral Home 3980 Cascade Rd. SE on March 25 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Rosary will be recited 8:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered March 26 2011 at 10:30am at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church 1449 Wilcox Park Dr. SE. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Van Andel Institute for Alzheimers Research 333 Bostwick Ave. NE Grand Rapids MI 49503.
