John Cote Dahlinger Jr., age 56 of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 16, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Melanie; sons, J.T. (Megan Atkins) Dahlinger, Michael (Deanna Mollicone) Dahlinger; and their mother, Ann Dahlinger; mother, Barbara Dahlinger. John loved life and most of all he loved Melanie, his sons and his many friends. He graduated from Hillsdale College where he played football. He was a volunteer at Boyne Highlands as a part of the National Ski Patrol, coached his sons in Junior Spitfires Hockey, and was a board member for Paws with a Cause. John’s greatest attribute was his ability to make everybody feel special. A Service to Celebrate the life of John will be held Sunday 2-4:00 p.m. at Blythefield Country Club, 5801 Northland Dr., Belmont.
