John E. Gonda age 82, of Grand Rapids formerly Youngstown, OH passed away Monday, March 22, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew & Olive Gonda; and sister, Sandy Dinger. John is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lou; son, John of Grand Rapids; granddaughter, Gabrielle of Grand Rapids; brother, Tim of Youngstown, OH; sister, JoAnn of Youngstown, OH; and cat, Elsa. John enjoyed spending time with family and especially his granddaughter that he loved greatly. He was a fan of the Cleveland Indians baseball, Ohio State football, Nascar, and being outdoors. He served in the Army from 1961-1963. A private service was held.
