John Howard Cooper, age 76, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away at Spectrum Hospital Butterworth on Saturday, March 24, 2018. He was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick J. Cooper of Grand Rapids, MI. John is survived by his brother, James L. Cooper of Los Angeles, CA; his sister-in-law Joan Cooper of Ada; as well as his nephews Patrick J. (Kristin) and Michael J. (Katherine) Cooper; great-nephews Samuel and Maxwell Cooper; and great-niece Quinn Cooper. John enjoyed motion pictures and show business and spent his professional years as a publicist and copywriter for both WOOD-TV and WGVU-TV. A memorial service was held Monday, March 26. Memorial contributions can be made in John’s name to the Boys & Girls Club of America. John will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
