FREUND John Matthew Freund age 70 of Lowell passed away unexpectedly April 23 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Gena Freund. He is survived by his children Jill (Mark) Smith of Lowell John Freund Jr. of Seattle WA Joseph Freund of Allen Park MI Jennifer (Donald) Haring of White Lake MI; sister Sandra Freund of Rockford; grandchildren Landon and Logan Smith Steven and Shane Freund Dawson Freund Lauren Haring; nephews Chip (Marti) Oosdyke Thomas Oosdyke; niece Christine Oosdyke. John was an avid reader and fanatic Detroit Red Wing fan. Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m., St. Mary Catholic Church 402 N. Amity Lowell. Rev. Eugene Okoli presiding. Visitations will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Roth-Gerst Chapel 305 N. Hudson St., Lowell. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Flat River Outreach Ministries 11535 Fulton St. SE Lowell.
