TIMPSON John Robert Timpson age 80 of Lowell went to meet his children Suzanne Timpson and Jeffery Todd Timpson in heaven on July 29th after a courageous battle with Parkinsons disease. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Judy; children Teresa (Perry) Beachum John (Colleen) Timpson Tracy (Michael) Toschi; daughter-in-law Michelle Timpson; grandchildren Zachary and Meghan Beachum Katie (Bill) Roberson Emily and Elizabeth Timpson Jordyn Timpson Tricia Thomas and Gianna Toschi; brother Gerald (Jean) Timpson. John was a life-long fruit grower and served as the Lowell Township Supervisor for 18 years. During which time he was extremely proud to be a part of the development of the Grand River Riverfront Park. He also served on many boards including FMB Bank Lowell Area Housing Michigan Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Assoc., and Lowell Rotary member. John was honored as Lowells Person of the Year in 1998. He had many proud memories of the time he served in the Navy on the Aircraft carrier USS Hornet. Funeral services will be held at Roth-Gerst Chapel 305 N. Hudson Lowell. Rev. Chris Schwab and Rev. Roger LaWarre officiating. Interment Bowne Center Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers and in support of a cure for cancer the family asks donations to be made to Pink Arrow Pride PO Box 246 Lowell MI 49331 in memory of his son Jeff Timpson.
