John Thomas Gollehon

John Thomas Gollehon, age 71, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. John was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Edna Gollehon; his father- and mother-in-law, Joseph and Mary Pratt; aunts and uncles, Albert (Emily) Keehn and Lena (Lou) Hedges. John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathryn; his son, John (Tracy) Gollehon; grandchildren, Brynn and Graden; brother- and sister-in-law, Melvin and Julie Cole; nieces and nephews, Mark Cole, Corey (Jodie) Cole, and Melissa (Craig) Westerhof; several great-nieces and nephews; cousins, Nancy (Bill) Sweet, David (Becky) Keehn, Doug Keehn, and Rebecca Frey. John was a true American entrepreneur, founding and operating a number of local businesses throughout the years. He was most widely known as a book publisher and author where his gambling expertise helped novice and pro alike cut their teeth and take down the house. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2-4 PM at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids with a memorial service at 4 PM.  Pastor Ron Klepal, West Lansing Church of Christ, officiating.
