Joseph Leo Kain II, age 59 of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Mary Kay; stepfather, Dave Norton; brother, Tom Kain; grandson, Simon; brother-in-law, Jerry O’Bee. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Brenda; children, Eric (Karen) Kain, Adam (Erika Politowicz) Kain, Lindsey (Trevor Holwerda) Kain, sisters, Kathy O’Bee, Peggy (Karl) Paganelli, Pat Kain; sister-in-law, Betsy Mohan Kain, mother-in-law, Shirley Norton, father and mother-in-law, Paul (Rosie) Burch; grandchildren, Hannah, Emma, Adam “AJ”, Ella, Paul; also many nieces and nephews. Joe loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and his Cadillacs. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, April 8 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert of Newminster Church, 6477 Ada Dr. S.E., Ada. Rev. Leonard Sudlik presiding. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Memorial contributions may be made to Joe’s family to assist with funeral expenses.
