Joyce Edith Georgina Wright, age 92 of Grand Rapids, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years Marwood. She is survived by her children, Randolph (Catherine) Wright, Marsha (Richard Griewski) Wright, Julia (Jerry) Ellinger; grandchildren, Phillip, John, Mark, and Steven. Joyce was a graduate of Wayne State University, taught at Forest Hills and Godwin public schools. She loved singing soprano in the church choir, gardening, traveling and sewing. Both of her parents came from England and Joyce kept in close contact with her English family. She loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed the family celebrations held throughout the year. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Wayne Petersen and Cindy Osteander for their wonderful care over the years. Memorial services will be held Saturday 11:30 a.m. at Cascade Christian Church Chapel, 2829 Thornapple River Drive SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546, Pastor Jill Forton officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. Visitation 10-11:30 a.m. in the Church Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Cascade Christian Church.
