Joyce Van Artsen, 89 of Ada, Michigan passed away on January 29, 2023. She is survived by her loving daughter, Carol (William) Vituj; son, Wayne Van Artsen; three grandchildren, Chris (Metta) Vituj, Melissa (Robert) Intoccia, Aaron (Monica) Van Artsen; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Tyler, Alana, and Logan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Donald Van Artsen; two grandsons, Benjamin and Andrew Van Artsen; along with her parents and two sisters.
Joyce loved attending and supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s many activities. Joyce graduated from Grand Rapids Central High School and attended Western Michigan University. She was a member and very involved in Mayflower Congregational Church and served on the church council. Joyce was president of the women’s Precilla Circle, sang in the choir and directed the youth handbell choir for many years. She loved crafting of all types and was an avid reader. Her love for Naples, Florida always gave her joy during her winter visits.
Please join the family in celebrating Joyce’s life on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Visitation will be at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Mayflower Congregational Church, 2345 Robinson Rd. SE. Grand Rapids.
