Judith C. “Judy” Wiles, aged 78, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 19, 2017. Judy was born in 1938 in Chicago, IL to her parents, Harold and Helen Wiles who preceded her in death. She is survived by her cousins, Rick (Estella) Watkins, of New York; and Joanne Heiple and her daughters, Robin Elliott and Penny Heiple, of Colorado; special friends, Rev. Chuck and Linda VanLente, of Grand Rapids, as well as many other friends. Judy was a member of Northlawn United Methodist Church for many years where she shared her beautiful alto voice in the Choir and also enjoyed playing in the Bell Choir. She loved music, art, gardening, traveling, nature and shopping. She was a lover of animals, especially her cats. Judy had an infectious laugh. She enjoyed playing cards and board games and shared many joyous holidays and family gatherings with the VanLente family. Judy graduated from Michigan State University where she played tennis and retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company in Grand Rapids after 35 faithful years of service – and Coke was her beverage of choice. Judy was a resident of Clark Retirement Community (Bristol family) for the past several years and we would like to thank the amazing staff for their remarkable care. We are grateful for the tremendous love and attention shown to Judy. A Graveside Service of Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery on Tuesday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. where she will be laid to rest next to her parents. Memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to Clark Retirement Community, 1551 Franklin St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506.
