Karen Marie Adelman (Doyle), age 62, died Sunday, June 13, 2021. Karen was a 1977 graduate of Lowell High School. She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Ison; her parents, King & Mary Louise Doyle; stepmother, Marie Doyle; and twin brother, Kevin Doyle. Karen is survived by her husband of 22 years, Fred Adelman; sisters, Louise (Carl) Berasi, Sharon Hawkins; brother, Brian (Cheryl) Doyle; in-laws, Gary (Barb) Adelman, Susan Meade; aunts & uncle, Joann & Ray Case, Sue Doyle; and many nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews. Karen suffered from mental and physical ailments for most of her life. She had the great fortune to work with Sandy Stevens many years ago at a Grand Rapids restaurant. Sandy and her husband, Bob, were guardian angels of Karen’s at all turns of her life from almost the day they met right up to the moment of her death. The family would like to thank the Spectrum Health Blodgett doctors, nurses, and staff for the truly loving care they gave Karen for the 10 days she spent in their care. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11 AM on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 402 Amity Street Lowell, Michigan 49331, visitation will be held one hour prior. Fr. Aaron Ferris presiding. There will be no luncheon due to the pandemic.
