Katherine Marie Gonser, age 48 of Grand Rapids, passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 27, 2015. She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Brandt. She is survived by her husband, Karl; children, Jacob, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Jessica; mother, Patricia Major; brothers, Jason Brandt, Todd Brandt; sister, Jenny Brandt; parents-in-law, John and Marilyn Gonser; sister-in-law, Karen (David) Wisdom; niece, Kristal Brandt. Katherine was a loving wife and mother who gave of herself on a daily basis. Her heart overflowed with joy and love, which she shared freely with any who would accept. Through it all, her greatest joys and proudest moments were when witnessing the many successes of her children. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 2750 Burton St. S.E., Grand Rapids. Msgr. Ernest P. Schneider presiding. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. with Vigil at 2:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids.
