Kenneth Alan Zadel, age 75 of Ada, passed away September 14, 2022. He was born in Cleveland Ohio on May 13th, 1947 to the late Joseph and Josephine Zadel. He graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He went on to work for multiple companies in the Material Handling/Supply Chain Industry, spending his last 20 years of work at Dematic Inc.. Ken enjoyed boating, golfing, and bowling. He was a faithful member of St. Robert of Newminster Parish and served as an Usher for many years. He was an active man who loved to water and snow ski with his kids into his late years. Ken was a selfless man dedicated to supporting and loving his family. He had an amazing sense of humor that always put a smile on your face. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Smotek; brothers-in-law, Bill Dolson and Jim Dolson. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 29 years, Susan; children, Natalie (Neil) Regan, Kim (Kensuke) Caldwell, Matthew Zadel, Alyssa Zadel, and Lisa (Dan) Pokrzywa; grandchildren, London Perry, Kira Caldwell, Billy, James, and Ella Pokrzywa; brothers-in-law, Tom (Sue) Dolson, Jerry (Silvia) Dolson, Tim Dolson; sisters-in-law, Brenda Dolson, Donna (Mike) Pelech, Betsy (Greg) Selzer, Mary Lou Dolson, Helene (Todd) Swensen; many nieces &; nephews; and canine companion, Lilo. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday, September 19, 2022, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at St. Robert of Newminster Parish, 6477 Ada Dr SE, Ada, MI 49301, with visitation one hour prior. Fr.
