Kris’ wishes were to

“Pay it Forward”

by caring for someone in need

or

Donating to your favorite charity

Most of all  “Just be Kind.”

Kristine (Kris) Laura Bishop, age 70 of Ada, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2023, after many courageous battles with illness. Kris was born at Blodgett Hospital on December 17, 1952, in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Flora and Foster Bishop. She attended Forest Hills schools and graduated from Albion College. Kris was retired from Bishop Distributing, her family’s floor covering company, where she was the Promotions Manager. Kris will be deeply missed by Janel (Nel) E. Belding, her lifelong partner of 40 plus years; sister, Beth (Karl deceased) Kusmierski, brothers, Brian Bishop (Dana), Phillip Bishop, family relatives, Marion Belding (Jim Anderson), Jonn Belding (Betty), extended family, prayer warriors, friends, and all who knew her. Throughout her life, Kris maintained a love of music, whether listening to all genres or playing her French Horn. She was happiest playing in the dirt to produce her amazing vegetable garden. Her other hobbies included reading and putting jigsaw puzzles together. Her smile will be remembered and how she made everyone laugh no matter the circumstance. Instead of flowers, Kris’ wishes were to “Pay it Forward” by caring for someone in need or donating to your favorite charity. Most of all “Just be Kind.”

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Road SE., Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
