Kuldip Singh Bagga peacefully passed away in his home in Grand Rapids, MI on February 7, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Rani Bagga; daughters, Kavita (Anuj), Priya (Raj) and Shaily (Kulvir); grandchildren, Aran, Ryan, Simran, Ardeep, Riya, Avnoor, and Shaan; along with family in both North America and India.

The son of Sunder Singh and Lajwanti Bagga, Kuldip was born in Dehradun, India in 1948. He came to Grand Rapids in 1979. By profession Kuldip was a financial planner with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network for over 40 years. He was a founding member of the India Link Organization and Sikh Society of West Michigan.

Kuldip had a passion in life for bringing friends and family together. His friends became an extension of his family. He had the unique ability to connect with every single person who crossed his path. Kuldip has left a lasting impact with his fervorous sense of humor along with his compassion to connect with others. His life was dedicated to serving his community, and through his mentorship he was able to support many people. Kuldip is loved by so many and will live on through the memories from his family and friends, all of whom he touched deeply.

Visitation/Tributes will take place from 12-2 PM on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.

The Antim Ardaas Prayer Service will take place on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 11 AM – 1 PM at the Sikh Temple of West Michigan, 8845 Cascade Rd SE, Ada, MI 49301.

  1. I knew Kuldip for many many years. He was a loving and easy to laugh with individual and will be sorely missed by his family and innumerable friends.

  3. Thoughts and prayers for Bagga Family through this time. Our heartfelt condolences. Kuldip uncle made a significant impact to the GR Indian community and left us with great memories. He was the first within the community who welcomed us to Grand Rapids. Amongst many memories, him preciding the first Lori function our older daughter still warms out heart. We will miss him. May his soul rests in peace with Waheguru.

  8. Just heard of Kuldip’s passing. Sorry for a great loss to the community. I was treasure for Indialink and we worked well organizing Diwali functions for several years. Rani and the rest of the family, you are in our prayers. May his soul RIP.
