BRIGGS – Lillian Marie Briggs (Kropf) of Belmont MI passed peacefully on December 17 2011 at 101 years of age. Born November 18 1910 in Vergennes Township her life was full of happiness. She will be welcomed in heaven by her husband of 55 years Hilton L Briggs; her 2 sisters Emma Herron & Cora Ford; brothers Carl Del Earl and Gene Kropf. She wants her passing to be a time of joy as she had a long and healthy life and was at peace. She leaves behind her daughter Pamela M. (Bill) Wengorovius; granddaughter Lori Anne (Michael) Weeks-Moore; grandson William Rudoph (Carrie) Wengorovius; granddaughter Gina (Adam) Wengorovius-Scheidel; 2 great grandsons Ryan M. Moore & Cody Moore; 4 great granddaughters Rhyan & Carlie Wengorovius & Mia & Jordan Schiedel; several nieces and nephews; and special nieces Donna Jean Ford Kay (Charles) McDonald and Pat (Roger) Kropf. She was known as the clock lady repairing clocks in her home for years after World War II. An avid gardener her special flowers were Roses and Iris. She loved to play cards and even at 100 years old was known to love Euchre and Bridge. The mention of a card game always brought sparkle to her eyes. Dad mom says she is bringing the cards with her. Always the fashion lady she took pride in wearing the latest and was on the Fashion Board at Herpolsheimers back in the 50s. She also enjoyed watching the squirrels and birds. Funeral services will be held at Roth-Gerst Chapel 305 N. Hudson Lowell. Pastor Bob Holmes of Christian Life Center Assembly of God officiating. Interment Alton Church Cemetery. Family will meet 5-8:00 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of Michigan. We thank them for their help and care of Lillian in her last months with us.
