O’ROURKE – Lucy Ellen (Doyle) O’Rourke age 75 passed away on May 2 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles and her son Dennis. Lu is survived by her greatest accomplishments, Patty (Tom), Matt and Brian Marek Kevin (Artisha), K.C Sean and Molly O’Rourke Julia (David), Maggie and Dan Lillis Maureen (Tom), Dennis and Kellie Rutka Tim (MaryBeth), Steven Abbey Elizabeth and Leah O’Rourke Sheila (Brian), Shannon and Kyle Dent. Also surviving her are her sisters-in-law Joan Doyle and MaryAnne O’Rourke and a host of very special nieces nephews cousins and dear friends. She is also survived by a large extended family and friends who loved her dearly and who are too numberous to mention but too dear to forget. In addition to her children and grandchildren Lucy was most proud of being a lifelong member of St. Alphonsus Parish. She was a tireless volunteer in hundreds of events in the Parish as well as a dedicated Sacristan for 30 plus years. Lucy was a proud member of the Catholic Central Class of 1951 and a member of the Catholic Central Hall of Fame. She also was the Grand Marshall for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and very proud of her Irish heritage! Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 12:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church 224 Carrier N.E., Rev. Denis Ryan CCsR presiding. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 7 to 9 and 2:30 to 4:30 and 7 to 9 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church. Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. In Lu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Alphonsus Parish Capital Fund.
