VAN SLUYTERS – Lydia A. Van Sluyters born May 8 1953 passed away morning May 31 2009 after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She is survived by her husband Craig son Ryan parents Mr. and Mrs. Peter Alexander sisters and brother Meg Elizabeth Nancy and Peter.Lydia was born in Charleston W V. and with her family moved to Texas and then on to Wilmington Delaware where she attended Mount Pleasant High School. Lydia continued her education at Michigan State Univ. where she met her husband and graduated with a degree in education. Lydia was a loving wife and devoted mother. Her intuition and strong will were an inspiration to her family. Her ability to cherish the simple pleasures and recognition of the gifts of life were unsurpassed. Her laughter and touch nourished our souls. Lydias tireless efforts to provide comfort to others good council and unfailing love will be deeply missed. It is our wish that her death act as a catalyst for others to appreciate and express the love they have for those they hold dear. A service will be held for immediate family only.
