STECKER – Margery F. Muffy Stecker age 93 of Grand Rapids formerly of Sarasota FL and Birmingham MI passed away April 21 2010. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Marion Fife Jackson. She is survived by her husband of 63 years Walter G. Stecker; children Walter III (Kris) Stecker Ross (Nancy) Stecker Rick (fianc Paula Pioch) Stecker Marion (Dan) Gauthier; brother Ross (Ginny) Fife; grandchildren Lauren Walter IV Christian William Brittany Chad Stecker and Shawn Gauthier; several nieces and nephews. During her early years she modeled in New York Paris and London sailed with her twin around the world and served in the Armys Womens Ambulance Corps in World War II also participating in USO shows in California. With a great passion for the arts she engaged in acting onstage and in Hollywood films shortly afterward and continued to love dabbling in drawing and composing witty rhymes music and stories throughout her life. A devoted wife mother and friend with a vibrant energy and positive joy her quick sense of humor kept our lives full with fun laughter and an endearing playfulness. Muffy will be forever remembered for her lifelong embracing love for all (including all Gods creatures), her wide open arms always ready for a warm hug and kiss and her endless deep generosity. Funeral services will be May 7 at 1:00 PM at First Congregational Church of Ada 6330 Ada Dr. SE Rev. Gary Burdick officiating.
