Marian Louise Mayou (Watrous) of Lowell bid a farewell to her family and friends Friday, May 22, 2015. In her nearly 68 years of serving others with a huge heart, she nurtured her daughters Ashley (Brad) Hendrick, Billie Jo (Jeff) Phillips and her son Nick (Demetria) Friberg, her amazing grandchildren Brecken, Kyle, Justin, Bailey, Remington, Natalie and Elyse and her most recent blessing, great-grandson Easton and expected blessing Penelope Grace. Marian’s husband Duane “Bill” Mayou was blessed by her love for 29 years and passed to the Lord in 2001. Marian is survived by her brothers Guy (Georgan) Watrous and Jim Watrous and several nieces and nephews including special niece and care-giver, Brenda Traetz, and so many special friends it is impractical to include a list. She is preceded in death by her sister Juanita Czapek, parents Howard Watrous and Robert and Norma Hemingson. Marian valued her family and friends to no end. Having her as part of your life was so special; with her love, compassion, support, encouragement and hope. Marian never had an unkind word to say of anyone and always found the positive in every situation. Everyone fortunate enough to have her as a part of their life is blessed with the grace of God. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, with the Funeral Service Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Marian requests any donations to be sent to Faith Hospice, 2100 Raybrook S.E., Ste. 300, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 so others will be provided the comfort and peace she received by this special organization.
