BOCKUS Marianne I. Bockus of East Grand Rapids aka Aunt Marianne passed away December 19 2011 after 93 years of a beautiful life on this earth. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold G. Pete Bockus. In heaven she joins her beloved daddy Michael; mother Pearl; siblings Betty Peggy Ginny Bobby and Jerry. She will live on in the hearts of her dearest cousins Mary Ann Gwatin and Robert E. Collins; her sister-in-law Leatha Collins and her many many nieces and nephews. She loved all God’s creatures and had been known to scold rabbits and deer for playing too close to the road it was as if they understood her concern and scampered off to live another day. She will always be remembered as being prim proper and fashionable yet she was also a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered Dec. 28th at St. Stephen Church 750 Gladstone SE. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 10:00 AM at the church followed by visitation until the time of service. As much as Marianne loved flowers she hoped that you consider a donation to your favorite charity in her memory.
