Marilyn Ann (Damstra) DeYoung, age 84 of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard J. Damstra, and Warren M. DeYoung. She is survived by her children, Gary (Marilyn) Damstra, Sherrie Damstra, Amy Bloomfield, Christine (Chris) Ingram; sister, Arlene (Gordon) Sorenson; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. Marilyn loved baking, knitting, basket weaving and making teddy bears. Funeral service will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 3215 4 Mile Rd., Grand Rapids. Pastor Aaron Werner officiating. Interment Fairplains Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
