Mark Scott White, 44 of Sparta, MI, went to be with his Lord Jesus on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Born September 16, 1968 in Grand Rapids, Mark will be missed by his family and friends whom loved him dearly. Mark spent many hours as a volunteer firefighter and first responder at the Sparta Fire Department and will be missed by his firefighting brothers. Mark had many passions but his true loves were his beautiful daughter Liz, family, duck hunting partners (his brothers) and being involved at the Sparta fire department as often as possible. If you couldn’t find him at the fire department, you would likely catch him outdoors duck hunting or on the lake fishing, two passions that Mark held dear to his heart, quiet places he could go to escape from the crazy world around him. Mark is survived by his Mom, Betty White; his Daughter, Elizabeth White. Also surviving are his five brother’s, Joshua White, Jeremy White, Jerry Michael White, Milo White, Jim White and his two sisters, Chris Von Mehr and Barb Herr; his niece Samantha White; girlfriend, Amanda Wendrick and Amanda’s daughter, McKenna Rusco; many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Jerry White. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 AM at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd., SE, Chaplain Skip Meyer of the Sparta Fire Department, officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation Monday 5-8 PM and Tuesday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mark’s family to help with final expenses.
