Mark William Johnson, age 64 of Ada, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 21, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Dinkel and parents William and Thelma Johnson. He is survived by his children, Lauren Johnson and Will Johnson, mother-in-law Elizabeth Dinkel, and extended members of the Dinkel family. Mark embodied an entrepreneurial spirit that led him in many career paths, including restaurateur, mortgage broker, and other ventures. His family, however, was his priority and greatest source of joy, pride and validation. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs at the cottage on Gun Lake. Always in motion, he was a great storyteller, an accomplished cook and an attentive host; he made everyone feel welcome. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday 10:00 a.m. at St. Robert of Newminster Church, 6477 Ada Dr., Ada, Msgr. Ernest P. Schneider presiding. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
