Marville “Marty” Schwein, age 72 of Charlevoix, passed away peacefully after a two-year battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, David (Darlene) Schwein, Tom Frey; brothers, Johnny Lee (Luella) Plowman, Marlin (Sally) Plowman; sister, Lois (Frank) Swartz. Marty is survived by her husband Frank Schwein of 38 years; children, Nicholas (Fallien) Schwein, Mary Beth Black, Frank “Chip” (Sharron) Schwein III, Valerie Stern, Steven (Jennifer) Schwein, Kathleen (Doug) Belter, Patrick (Jenn) Swartz; sisters, Marilyn (Pat) Burling, Georgia Frey; brothers, Chuck (Diana) Plowman, Paul (Teresa) Plowman; grandchildren, Max, Ali, Dominic, Nathan, Weston, Gracie Schwein, Sam Black; sisters-in-law, Karen (Mike) Diehl, Mary Jill (Mike) Stenberg; brother-in-law, Rick (Nancy) Schwein; and several nieces and nephews. She was a very kind, social person who was always concerned about others. Marty loved spending time with her grandkids, sewing, and knitting. Visitation will be Monday, July 6, 2020 from 5-9pm with a Rosary service at 8:30pm at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331. Private family service will be held at St. Patrick of Parnell. Father Dominic Couturier presiding.
