Marvin “Marv” Rosenberger Jr., of Lowell, Michigan, went to be with his Lord, Jesus, on August 18, 2022. Marv was born on January 24, 1932, to Harold and Nora Rosenberger of Freeport, Michigan. An only child, Marvin spent his childhood in Freeport, where his parents owned and operated the local pharmacy. In later years, his father sold the business and the family moved to the Grand Rapids area. He graduated from Ottawa Hills High School and went on to join the United States Navy where he served eight years on board three different warships. Marvin was a tool and die maker by trade and was also an accomplished machinist. He finished his career as a machine repairman, retiring from General Motors. Retirement didn’t slow him down; Marv loved life! He was a dedicated and valued volunteer for the Kent County Sheriff’s Office and then the Lowell City Police Department for over 20 years. He and his wife, Velda, loved to travel and explore the United States and enjoyed the fellowship of riding with the Christian Motorcyclists of America. Marv continued to ride his Harley alongside his son, Mark, well into his 90th year. He also enjoyed woodworking and creating personal gifts for those he loved; gifts cherished by friends and family. He enjoyed his life and loved sharing stories about his experiences and the lessons life taught him. Marv was a loving, honest, faithful, and giving man who truly lived his life according to the Word of God. Marvin was preceded in death by his dear parents, Marvin Harold & Nora Rosenberger; his much-loved aunt, Helen Rosenberger; his beautiful grandchildren, Rachelle Rosenberger, Jessica Hayes, Jonathan Rosenberger, Ryan Hutson; and his great granddaughter, Lia Hayes. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 40 years, Velda Rosenberger; his children, David Rosenberger, Mark Rosenberger (Judy), Mary Yeaple (Jack), Claire Haney, Sue Rosenberger, and Tony Gardner (Laurie); eleven grandchildren; and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson St., Lowell, MI 49331. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Monday, August 22, 2022, at Lowell United Methodist Church, 621 E. Main St., Lowell, MI 49331, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Brad Brillhart officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. 3. Dear Mary, Mark Sue and family, it would take a book with endless pages to describe the mixture of emotions and feelings being experienced today. However, no matter how different our paths in life have been, I never doubted that our dad loved us in his own way and that we loved each other as well. To my sisters and brother, know you are loved. Dave

  4. So sorry in the loss of your father, Mark. Just remember all the fun things you did together over the years.
