Hall, Marvin Neil, age 83, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in Zephyrhills, Florida. He will be lovingly remembered by many friends and family, including his loving wife of 60 years Beverly, 3 daughters; Linda Solem, Brenda Peterson (Stephen), Kim Nicholas (Sam), 3 sons; Dale, Kenneth, and Michael, Sisters; Beverly Carpenter (Keith) and Shirly Gray, Brother Ernest Hall (Joyce), Sisters in Law; Gloria Ward (Frank), Kris Elliott, Brother in Laws; Robert Elliott (Gerri) Richard Elliott (Pam), 14 grand children; Melisa, Brittany, Sarah, Matthew, and Austin Solem; Stephanie, Nicholas, and Brandon Peterson; Michael and Andrew Greiner, Alicia Nicholas; Joshua, Rachel and Mackenzie Hall; Precious Great grandchildren; Amanda Solem, Ellia and Ezra Fieldstra, a very special Aunt Ruth Overmire, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Neil Hall and Lillian Lenartz and his beloved son, Craig Andrew Hall, and brother in law Dave Elliott. Marvin was a graduate of Davenport College in Grand Rapids. He began a career as an Accountant, and later began his Real Estate career for 38 years most recently at Coldwell Banker AJS. Marvin served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War. He was a member of the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors, the VFW Belding Post, and a past member of the Knights of Columbus, and Wyoming Chamber of Commerce, where he was instrumental in the building of the Library in Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Church, 750 Gladstone Dr. S.E., East Grand Rapids. Rev. Thomas Brown presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Monday 6-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Memorial Contributions may be made to The St. Stephen’s Education Foundation, 750 Gladstone Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506.
