Mary-Jane Bobier, age 98 of Grand Rapids, passed at Metropolitan Hospital on Monday, March 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Hon. Harold H. Bobier. She is survived by her three children, Raymond (Kelly) Bobier, Lynn (Douglas) Weaver, Michelle (Gary) Bledsoe; and five grandchildren. Mary-Jane was born in Bryan, Ohio (1915), the only child of Howard and Maude Ann Helms. Her family eventually moved to Michigan, where she met her future husband. Mary-Jane and Harold lived an adventuresome and joyful life, raising their three children and traveling. Mary-Jane continued the adventure after her husband passed, right up until her passing. She was loved by everyone who met her and will be missed by all. Visitation will be Thursday 6-7:00 p.m. with a Celebration Service 7:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids, with Richard J. Karelse as Celebrant.
