Mary Jane (Mercurio) Martin, age 80 of Ada, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Josephine Mercurio; and brother, Charles Mercurio. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James; daughters, Tina (Dan), Sheree (Terry), Robin; grandchildren, Kyle, Jordan (Lisa), Megan, and Kevin; great granddaughter, Evelyn; sister, Lena Gambino; sister-in-law, Joanne Mercurio; and many nieces and nephews. Mary Jane was active in the Catholic church, was a successful business owner, loved to read, and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in their sporting events. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Len Sudlik of St. Robert of Newminster officiating. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to the Kent County Humane Society to support Mary Jane’s love of animals.
