HOWELL, MARY LOU “MUFFY”, of Grand Rapids, born February 19,

1927, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2018 and is now resting

comfortably in the arms of her loving God.

She has rejoined her beloved husband, Deac (Richard Howell), daughter,

Anne and brother, Tom Wilson, who preceded her in death.

Muffy was an extraordinarily kind and loving woman who was a devoted

wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Behind her gentle manner was a woman of incredible strength and

resilience, and through the tough times was always able to rally those

around her.

Besides her family, she had many dear friends with whom she and Deac

shared many wonderful times.

Muffy was also a woman of deep faith who was very active over the years

at her home parish, Immaculate Heart of Mary, where, to the end, she was

a faithful member of the funeral luncheon crew.

She left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her, and we will all

miss her very much.

She is survived by her children, Dick and Sue Howell, Mary Elizabeth

Howell, Mike Howell, Maureen (Dr. Dave) Krhovsky, Sharon Howell,

Jim and Tracy Howell; grandchildren, Mary and Brian Hannon, David

Krhovsky, Jr. and his girlfriend Dr. Jenn Cannon and Mark and Hailey

Krhovsky and their expected child due in August; great-grandchildren,

Luke and Noah Hannon; sisters, Barb Gillespie, Shirley and Bob Hickey;

sister-in-law, Suzy Howell; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, February 28 at 11:00

AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1935 Plymouth SE.

Rosary will be recited Tuesday 7:30 PM. Visitation will be Tuesday 2:00

to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst

Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE and Wednesday one hour prior to the

service at church. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial

contributions may be made to Catholic Central Advancement Office,
