Mary Terese (Hogan) Erhardt

ERHARDT, MARY TERESE (HOGAN), age 84, born May 22, 1930 and died Tuesday, February 3, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara C. and Arthur J. Hogan, Sr.; brothers, Arthur Jr., Patrick; sisters, Virginia, Margaret, and Suzanne. She is survived by her husband G. Thomas Erhardt; daughter, Julie A. Erhardt of Arlington, Virginia; sons, Thomas J. (Lori) Erhardt of Traverse City, Michigan, Brian J. (Barbara) Erhardt of Glencoe, Illinois, Paul J. (Elisabeth) Erhardt of Naples, Florida; grandchildren, Kathryn, Matthew and Emily Erhardt of Traverse City, Michigan, Benjamin, Michael and Mary Erhardt of Glencoe, Illinois, Nicholas and Liesl Erhardt of Naples, Florida; brother, Thomas J. (Gerry) Hogan of Grand Rapids, Michigan; sister, Bernadette (Kenneth) Bradford of Grandville, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews. Mary grew up in Grand Rapids and also lived in and enjoyed many years in Spring Lake, Michigan. She was a proud graduate of Catholic Central High School. She was often heard to say, “Trifles make perfection, but perfection is no trifle.” A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Mary on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2750 Burton St. S.E., Grand Rapids, Msgr. Ernest P. Schneider presiding with concelebrant Rev. Rock Badgerow. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 6, 2015 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. with the Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Contributions may be made in memory of Mary to The Clark Foundation, 1551 Franklin St. SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49506.
