HAYDEN – Michael James Hayden Sr., loving father also known as Old Man Cowboy Grandpa and Ba-pa age 60 of Saranac passed away unexpectedly July 24 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife Cathi father Harold Hayden step-father Lou Cooper. Surviving are his children Michael (Kim) Hayden Jr., Shannon (Steve) Eickhoff; mother Jane Cooper; brother/best friend Richard (Melissa) Zych; brother Kenneth (Irene) Hayden; sister Sue (Stan) Englund; grandsons Steven (Booger Butt) and Austin (Thunder) Eickhoff; special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jerry and Sharyle Bender; aunts; uncles; also very close nieces and nephews. The old man loved country music especially Waylon Jennings David Allan Coe and Willie Nelson. He was a retired semi-truck driver he can now drive a semi again and go for that one last ride he wanted. Mike was in the process of restoring his 1979 BSA motorcycle. He raised Siberian Huskies enjoyed hunting and walks in the woods with his grandsons. He taught them how to track deer. A shout out to Broadway at B93. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. August 1 2009 at Roth-Gerst Funeral Chapel 305 N. Hudson Lowell with Rev. Rick Blunt of First United Methodist Church of Lowell officiating. Interment Blythefield Memory Gardens. Visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
