Nancy Ann Talcott (Farah), age 84 of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 25, 2019.  She is survived by sons, Edwin (Robin) Talcott and Joe (Sherri) Talcott; daughter, Cathleen (Edward) Knape; 11 grandchildren, Nikki (Ben), Cassie (Steve), Tara, Rachel, Jessica, Bri (Jerome), Danielle (Ricky), CiCi (Ryan), Alex, Tony and Emily; 6 great-grandchildren, Taylee, Keegan, Ashton, Chase, Brayson and Eliana; brother, Mike (Barb) Farah and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Lucy Farah; brothers, Maurice and Edward Farah; great-granddaughter, Brylee VanTimmeren, and her loving husband of 58 years, Richard “Dick” Talcott.  For many years, Nancy worked as a legal secretary alongside her good friend, Faye.  She had a knack for organization and note taking.  Nancy was a dedicated mother and embraced every moment with her family.  She especially loved her role as Gma and GGma.  She enjoyed spending weekends at the cottage; fishing with her husband and lying out in the sun.  An avid sewer, Nancy stitched beautiful blankets for her grandchildren, and hemmed anything she could get her hands on.  In her free time, Nancy looked forward to trips to the casino with her girlfriends, Dorothy and Charlie.  She spent her final years enjoying visits with family and friends.  Please join us in celebrating Nancy’s life at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2750 Burton St., SE, Monday, October 28th at 9:30 AM for visitation, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, Rev. Peter Damian, presiding. Interment Ada Cemetery.

  1. To the family of Nancy Talcott, I’m so sorry for the loss of your loved one. I have lost many loved ones and know the pain this causes. These Bible scriptures have comforted me: 2 Corinthians 1:3,4: God is a source of comfort; Acts 24:15: There will be a resurrection. I hope this comforts you as well.
