Nancy Lee Mangus (Pearce), age 89 of Grand Rapids, died peacefully at her home on October 7, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ronald Frank Mangus. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tony (Kim) Mangus, Donna (Vaughn) Shade, Carol (Robin) Dana, Mary Ann (Andy) Dietrich; grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, and Kevin Mangus, Nicole, Rachel, and Robin Dana, Josh (Shannon) Dietrich, Liz (Scott) Kenney, Stephanie Dietrich, and Natalie Dietrich; great-grandchildren, Landon, Stella, Emersyn, Maddux, Samuel, Liam, and Ellisia; several nieces, nephews, and many great friends. Nancy served in the Air Force where she met the love of her life, Ronald. She retired from Metropolitan Hospital after 14 years of service. She loved to golf, play bridge, and enjoy “happy hours” with family and friends. She especially enjoyed her Thursday night dinners at the Grand Rapids Elks Lodge No. 48. She was a charter member of IHM Parish and was strong in her Catholic faith. A special thanks to family and friends for their care and support. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 AM Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1935 Plymouth Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506 with visitation one-hour prior. Fr. Troy Nevins presiding. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Killgoar Foundation, 1935 Plymouth Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506-4494.

  1. Wonderful, genuine, down to earth lady. Was nice to spend some time with her. Will try to make the funeral. Please let me know if I can do anything.

  2. She is so kind and nice. My house cross the street of the house. I feel sad that I was working remotely at home crossings her house at that day she passes away.

    I wish I stopped by and visit her earlier of the day. I feel so regret.
