Nancy Lillian Hickman, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully in her home the afternoon of Saturday, February 18, 2017. She has entered into the comfort of our Lord after a long fight with cancer. Her love and devotion to family and friends has brought joy to all that knew her. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Lillian Dynak and is survived by her husband, John, and her children; Sean (Katherine), Reid and Erin. She is also survived by her adored grandchild, Cole. Also surviving are her sisters, Geri Myers of Auburn Hills, MI and Mary Zanarini of Randolf, VA. Nancy graduated from Mercy College in Detroit and served Spectrum Health for 30 years in the Medical Technology field. With a great love of God, Nancy was active at her parish, St. Paul the Apostle. She brought the arts to the St. Paul School with Art Talks thru the GRAM, served on the school board and influenced the creation of a lasting school fund. The family would like to thank the many friends of Nancy for their support and love this past month. You truly gave back the love she had for you. A Rosary will be said for Nancy immediately following visitation this Saturday from 11am-1pm at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids.
