Nancy R. Griner, born in 1931, passed away on December 14, 2021. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Griner, she is survived by her daughters, Kathleen “Kit” (Richard) Hoekstra, Beth (Tom) Metz and Joan (William) Hofman, all from the Grand Rapids area. Her six grandchildren include Daniel (Katie) Keim, Melanie Hoekstra (Ben Kidder), Emily (Scott) Colby, Nathan (Jennifer) Hoekstra, Calvin (Sarah) Hofman and Brett (Lauren) Hofman. She had five great-grandsons: Reid Colby, Theodore Kidder, Jack Hoekstra, Oliver Hofman and Emerson Hofman. She is also survived by a brother, Don (Frances) Rockwell and two nephews, Grant Rockwell and Chad (John) Rockwell, all of California. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place at a later date.
