Norma Ann Hansen, age 81 of Grand Rapids, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2016. A current resident of Breton Woods Manor, previously of Cascade Township Michigan. Norma was preceded in death by her parents Merritt and Loraine Harper of Vicksburg, Michigan. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Jim; their 4 sons, Mike (Judy) of Sydney, Australia, Mark (Carol) of Dublin, Ohio, Brian of Oxford Township, Michigan and Kevin of Cascade Township, Michigan; grandchildren Erica (Luke) Gleeson, Lauren, Trevor, Kelsey and Erik Hansen; great-grandchild Amelia Gleeson; and sister Janet (Lou) Callaway of Ann Arbor. Norma is a graduate of Michigan State University, where she achieved a Master’s degree. She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Norma taught Business Services at Davenport University for 31 years. She is a lifelong member of Cascade Christian Church and past Board Chair, and President of Mecosta County Habitat for Humanity. Visitation Friday, August 19, 2016, 4:00-6:00 p.m. at O’Brien-Eggebeen-Gerst Chapel, 3980 Cascade Rd. S.E., Grand Rapids, and 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Funeral Service will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at The Sanctuary of Cascade Christian Church, 2829 Thornapple River Dr SE, Grand Rapids. Pastor Jill Forton and Pastor Frank Guter officiating.
