Norman Erickson, age 85 of Barryton, Michigan, formerly of Lowell, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elof and Anna Erickson; sister, Helen McCaul; brothers, Paul Erickson, Art Erickson; brother-in-law Dick McCaul; and sister-in-law Pat Erickson. He is survived by his companion, Noreen Doolittle; children Vicki (James) Reingrover of Littleton, CO, Michael (Caryl) Erickson of Alta Loma, CA, Kathy (Steve) Henney of Westland, MI, Nancy Morris of Okemos, MI; siblings, John (Lucile) Erickson, Harry Erickson, Esther Erickson, Alvin Erickson; grandchildren, Mark Reingrover of Lakewood, CO, Marci (Chris) Bennett of Littleton, CO, Aaron Erickson of CA, Andrew Erickson of Alta Loma, CA, Aimee Erickson of WA, Stephanie (Kris) Smyth of Plymouth, MI, Stephen (Michi) Henney of Canton, MI, Robert Morris, Richard Morris both of Holt, MI, Ryan (Jenny) Morris of Okemos, MI; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 9, at 12:00 p.m. at Roth-Gerst Chapel, 305 N. Hudson, Lowell, MI 49331. The family will greet friends and relatives one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. A memorial service will also be held Sunday, June 10, 2:30 p.m. at Steadfast Baptist Church, 17707 30th Ave. (M-66) Barryton, MI 49305. Rev. Mark Tolosa officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Alliance of Michigan, 30100 Telegraph Rd. Bingham Farms, MI 48025.

Its seems to be a strange time remembering the house in potterville… the cows.. the horses.. and then remembering the house that was built In barryton.. and more horses.. and farming…i can’t get you out of my mind.. missing you.. thinking of your tragic and untimely death.
I’m glad I got to see you a month ago and that big hug you gave me.

R.I.P. Norm, you will be greatly missed by many. I am very honored to have all the memories we shared with the horses and the goats. Many prayers and my greatest sympathy to the entire family. One day we will meet again in heaven.

Mom remembers the good times that all the people from their card party group used to have. Some times it got a little heated when Norm’s wife thought other women were looking at him and she thought all the women wanted him. As a kid, it was entertaining to watch.
Norm would come to hear my band play at different places but he always came to the Roadrunner when we played there. He would dance with all the women that could keep up with him. He LOVED to dance!
