Patricia Ann Smith, age 90 of East Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Sunrise of Cascade after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. The family would like to give special thanks to Becca, Deb and the staff at Sunrise. She was preceded in death by her son Jack; brother Ken (Mary) Fowl. She is survived by her husband Jack; son Craig (Jeanne); daughter Halle; grandchildren Scott (Yeimy), Andrew; great grandchildren Ana Lucia, and Alden Smith; nephew Jay (Brenda); and niece Jeanne Fowl. Pat attended Ohio University, Oberlin School of Business, and gave her time to a volunteer group at Blodgett Hospital. She loved playing golf, especially with her friends for 35 years at Elks Highland Country Club. Pat’s zest for life and Christian faith was very beautiful, she will be missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 1935 Plymouth Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids. Rev. Troy Nevins presiding. The family will meet friends and relatives one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
